Just like a person might be the perfect one for you on paper but doesn’t do it for you in person, sometimes you and certain cannabis strains meet, and the chemistry is just right.
You could be looking for the strongest weed strains, the best strains for creativity, the highest THC strain. It’s a personal thing. So, these aren’t the best cannabis strains based on reviews or sales numbers per se, these are our stoner team’s all-time favourites.
Pink Weed Strains
Pink weed strains have quickly become fan favourites for their alluring bag appeal. They just look sexy and get you in the mood to roll a joint. It doesn’t hurt that they put you into a lovely rosy high.

Pink Rockstar is a 70-80% indica-dominant hybrid strain. It’s grown by crossing the potent Pink Kush and Rockstar Kush strains, both of which are highly popular in pot stores. You’re looking at 18-20% THC, so are in for a kick ass high. The parents are both heavy indica-dominant strains known for their euphoric properties. They boast strong physical effects and are loved by pain patients, people with inflammation and those who buy medical marijuana to help them sleep.

I would describe the aroma of this strain as pungent and striking, but it has some sweet undertones. You can definitely smell a sweet and rich vanilla scent along with some berry and floral notes.
The aroma of Pink Kush is powerful but not too overwhelming. However, I would recommend storing it in an airtight container.
Pink Kush has an intense flavour that shouldn't surprise you, considering its equally intense aroma. It begins with a sweet flavour that I would describe as candied vanilla, followed by a floral taste that often tastes a bit like pine or even dank earth. Cannabis strain connoisseurs tend to love the intricate taste of this strain.

3. Granddaddy Purple Weed Strain
This is your granddaddy’s weed. The strain was introduced in 2003, a year many of you may not remember. The OC, chain wallets, and two disappointing Matrix movies really sum up what that year had to offer. But it also birthed the literal granddaddy of purple weed strains. 4. Black Diamond Strain
The Black Diamond strain, also called Black Diamond OG or Black Diamond Kush, is an indica-dominant hybrid strain.
This strain is considered rare and isn’t often on the menu at Canadian dispensaries. In fact, a Vancouver will likely have to import it from its native Northern California. When found, it’s worth the search. Why so rare? Black Diamond is a clone-only strain, meaning it can only be reproduced with a cutting from a mature mother plant. You can’t get seeds of Black Diamond due to its unique genetic makeup. It can be grown indoors or out but reaches its fullest potential in soil.
If you're looking for the highest THC strain, this one is definitely up there. While studies vary, Black Diamond plants can pack in between 17 and 24% THC content. As a fairly balanced hybrid, you get a little of the effects of an indica and sativa: your mood will be lifted for a while and then you’ll get relaxed.
